Traditional Chinese Thank You Card Phrases Chinese Girlfriend's Mother's Birthday, Sending A Traditional Birthday Card...what To Say In The Card?

Chinese Girlfriend's mother's birthday, sending a traditional birthday card...what to say in the card? - traditional chinese thank you card phrases

His parents are from Hong Kong and speaks Mandarin and English decent. I bought a traditional Chinese card to wish all the best for your birthday and wish him every success in the years ahead of her.

Are there any gifts should consider whether one with the map? I thought about how much I write, and her family.

The daughter (my GF) is everything for me and I have also proposed the introduction of the miracle that husdband raised her and her daughter.

Is there anything I should? I can not imagine what I would say it would be against his family. I met the family several times.

Ideas or recommendations would be very useful!

Thanks

For a map to do a simple blessing, "Happy Birthday" was because he speaks English and has decent enough westernized.

Stay away from Chinese calligraphy on the card, if you really trust.

As for the donations, I would not recommend the red packets. Red packets when given to anniversaries, are given by the older to the younger, and not vice versa. For example, to give youth, birthday gifts for seniors will receive red packets from them to change. And probably the biggest red-packets to young birthdays, which in the past. Do not change the hierarchy of tradition.

Why is not your GF your mom, what they like. If it is given in a restaurant, the gift should be small and easy to wear. It may be, cosmetics and skin care of choice or just a bunch of flowers to your taste. Do not send a fruit basket, if you bring them home. It is not like the idea of holding a basket of fruit at a good restaurant!

On the sensitive matter, things always. Not to forget the bad things mentioned in conversation about his Brithday that accidents and war news, the disease ... etc. And of course, keep your tongue with shouts of hell, SH-T, Jesus, T-SH Holly ......

The color white is considered a funeral color in Chinese tradition. It is fortunate that the dress as a color. So do not try to use the white, white flowers impress, is a critical no-no.

The prounciation for Happy Birthday is
Saang Yat Faai Lock

I am a Mandarin (Chinese) lives in Hong Kong.

Say "Sun Yat Fai Lock", which means Happy Birthday in Cantonese. Many of the points for a piece of cake. Indication of the mother a package of red, a red envelope and put money into a gift for yourself. The gift of a red packet is a traditional Chinese gift for all occasions. You can in many Chinese outlets.

Apart from this card, you just write happy birthday.

I'm from Hong Kong. You can ask your GF tips, for it is only part of the family. Just keep it short and simple. The card is to their parents. Why did you say something about your daughter, eh? If you are close enough with his GF and appear before the family is together, you and your GF a gift for her. Buy a basket of fruit in your house with a decent presentation. It is now a very common, when they visit a generation earlier. You will love her very much. Values of the older generation who are buying on your birthday and dinner or "yum cha" is much more than a list with many good words in. It's more about you and how much you care for them.

Write a few surprises on the Chinese map.

As the mother of his friend, happy birthday, I will not say what did the mother of a beautiful girl, you referred. Save this for the future, when you propose marriage.

Stick with the mother ... Talk about what is beautiful in it .... Sweet ... good spirit ... its so hot ... what touch. be honest. You always feel welcome? say. and I wish him a long life.

Ask your girlfriend what gift to offer ....

Its to be in a position to the Chinese woman I recommend not to go too far in trying to extend the olive branch traditional. I think the card is a good idea, but depending on how long you have been out of this girl, do not try too much to go into depth on how much are you interested. My family is originally from Guangdong Province and even though I am well aware of the culture in relation to my roots, I know there is a tendency among the Chinese to take a superiority. Do not try to appear as white (if that is what it is) with yellow fever. Want to know that you care for your daughter and wish him much luck as any other culture. If you really want to make a gift, something I would recommend following the example of a particular food. My grandparents and father (for the Chinese members of the family) really value the things that are used in turn as they get older. Know what kind of food you want, or can you afford to take the bride and mother at dinner.

Happy birthday is the best, what to say. There is nothing objectionable about such a claim, and that is what you send. As a gift - Red is the color of happiness. A red cloth was popular (and easy to e-mail. I hate it, something that could be damaged to send to.)
If you meet the family on several occasions, and has some ideas about them. Why do not you ask your friend if the mother has a special interest or hobby that can give an idea for a special gift.
The next step is to decide whether their marriage will take place here as OT. Best wishes to you all.
